Originally from South America, passion fruits have the form of brown and purple berries the a size of a chicken egg. Initially smooth, the peel wrinkles and decays after harvesting, however, it does not affect the quality of the fruit. The edible part of passion fruit is its yellow and brown, jelly-like pulp.
